MAHARASHTRA PLANNING TO IMPOSE LOCKDOWN: MAHARASHTRA SEES A DRASTIC INCREASE IN COVID-19 CASES

MAHARASHTRA MIGHT GO INTO LOCKDOWN DUE TO INCREASE IN COVID CASES



On a serious-warning, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has announced lockdown for 10 - 15 days. He said that lockdown will not start all of a sudden, and it won’t stop any development work.
As the covid-19 cases are rising in Maharashtra, CM Uddhav Thackery has given a serious-warning to the citizens of the state and said there will be a complete lockdown if people don’t start taking precautions.


CM said that Lockdown will start from 23rd Feb's evening wherever needed.
“Lockdown will not start all of a sudden. We aren’t putting a stop to any development work. Lockdown will start from tomorrow evening wherever needed,” CM Uddhav Thackery said yesterday.
“Whether this is a second wave or not, we will understand this in the coming 8 to 15 days. ” CM said.
CM said that he will be observing the citizens for the next lockdown period.
CM also warned people to follow all the covid-19 related regulations to avoid lockdown.
"Do we need a lockdown? If you behave responsibly, we will know in the next eight days. Those who don't want a lockdown will wear a mask. Those who want a lockdown, will not wear one. So wear a mask and say, 'No' to the lockdown," Cm Thackeray added.



Yesterday, CM introduced a new slogan 'I am responsible for the campaign against Covid-19. This Slogan passes on the message to people that they should be responsible for themselves. People should maintain all the Covid-19 protocols and stop the virus from spreading further.  

"The new slogan 'I am responsible' conveys that people must be responsible for themselves. People must make sure that they are wearing a mask, keeping social distancing and washing their hands, " CM stated.
