Prime Minister Narendra Modi Got His First Shot Of Indian Covaxin And Appealed The Eligible People To Take Their Vaccines    

This morning at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the Covid vacccination. And he also became the first inheritor in the second phase of all over India vaccination in opposition to coronavirus.

Prime Minister Modi took a dose of the domestic Covaxin created by Bharat Biotech and the ICMR ( Indian Council Of Medical Research ).


 

In his tweet, Prime Minister tweeted, sharing an picture of himself taking the first dose of vaccine, he appreciated “doctors and scientist for working in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19”.

“I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!” Modi said.


A statement from Modi’s office said that Modi chose to take the vaccine shot early and he was also taken to AIIMS without any special route restrictions to avoid any inconvenience to the people. 

India will enlarge its programme for corona virus vaccination today to cover more people of age over 60 and those and those over 45.

Registration will open at 9 am on 1 March at www.cowin.gov.in  and at Arogya Setu app. Walk-in vaccinations in some places are also available. 

In the second phase of vaccination government hopes to vaccinate over 30 crore people by August.
