TODAY: BENGAL HAS REPORTED FRESH 4,511 CASES IN A SINGLE DAY
On Monday in Bengal fresh COVID cases have increased up to 4,500 which is the highest number from May last year. On Sunday the COVID cases have increased up to 4,398. And the total number of the COVID-19 cases on Monday is 26,531.
In the state, the total tally of the patients who have an infection of COVID-19 has reached up to 6,19,407. Among 5,82,462 patients, some patients have already been released from the hospitals. In the past 24hr, almost 1,947 patients have already been discharged.
The state has faced serious cases of COVID-19 from June last year, according to the Health Department.
The recovery rate of the COVID on Monday is 94.04 %. The positive cases from the sample tested is 6.49 %
The percentage of hospital bed availability has dropped down to 20.15% from 34.94% on Sunday.
In the past 24hr, the COVID-19 tests that has been done in the state is 95,47,164 out of which 37,116 get positive. Also, 14 people die in the state in the last 24hr. The toll of the total death in the state has reached 10,414. in the past 24hr, Kolkata has reported four deaths while Nadia and North 24-Parganas have three deaths in each state. In the South, 24-Parganas have two deaths while West Burdwan and East Midnapore have seen one death in each state.
In the past 24hr, Kolkata has reported 1,115 fresh COVID cases followed by North 24-Parganas 1,087. In Kolkata, the total number of deaths is 3,157. North 24-Parganas has fewer numbers cases and it is 2,556. In Kolkata, the total tally of the patients who have been infected is 1,42,471 while the total tally of North 24-Parganas is 1,33,576. In the past 24hr, the South 24-Parganas has reported 295 new COVID cases. South 24-Parganas total numbers for the COVID cases have increased to 39,940.
There are almost 5,90,482 people who have received their vaccines till the date of 12th April in the state, out of that 423 people have taken their vaccines in the past 24hr.
