Ravichandran Ashwin Took An Off From The IPL Tournament Because His Family Members Are Battling From The COVID-19

Ravichandran Ashwin spinner in Delhi Capitals has said that he will take an off from the ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) tournament just because he wants to spend this COVID time with his family members because they are battling from the COVID-19.




On Sunday, Ashwin has played a match against Sun Risers Hyderabad in IPL he took to Twitter after the match and said that he is taking a break from the ongoing IPL tournament.

Ashwin tweeted: "I would be taking a break from this year's IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals."

The official handle of Delhi Capitals said in his tweet: "Extending our full support to you in these difficult times, @ashwinravi99. Sending you and your family all the strength and prayers from all of us at Delhi Capitals."

India is gripped by the COVID-19 right now, the country is reporting fresh cases of the COVID-19 around 3,00,000 every single day. 2021 has broken the records of 2020, this year it has made the highest numbers of the new fresh cases of COVID-19.

Kane Williamson make sixty-six runs in the match on Sunday but he didn't find supporting batsmen at the end of the match at last Jagadeesha Suchith came and made 14 runs for the team and the team has gone in the super-over at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
