New COVID-19 cases in Nagpur district, Maharastra Government Declared Lockdown from 15th to 21st March


Maharashtra Lockdown: A complete lockdown has been declared after 13,659 new COVID-19 cases. This is the highest no. of cases in a day 2021. Maharastra Government announced a complete lockdown from 15th to 21st March. The new cases are in Pune 1,384, Nagpur city 1,513, Nasik city 750, Yavatmal district 403, Aurangabad 560, and Pimpri Chinchwad 590. Kalian Dombivli and Nandurbar district are also under night curfew by the state government.





Nagpur division has reported 2,43,726 infections and 4,877 fatalities till now. The highest number of cases arrived from Nagpur city that comes under the Nagpur Police Commissionerate. Only essential services will be available. Such as vegetable, fruit, and milk shops will be allowed in Nagpur during the lockdown Nagpur Guardian Minister Nitin Raut said.

The BMC (the civic body) reported that most of the cases are coming from high-rise buildings instead of slums around 90% even more. Now their eyes are on highrise-building dwellers than densely populated areas, additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani said.

Cases are on the rise in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra. Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray instructed the municipal corporation and, the collector asked for lockdown last Monday. It may be a night curfew, complete, or a partial lockdown. Nightclubs are likely to be shut first.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackray also said that they are keeping an eye on the situation because another complete lockdown cannot be possible. Lockdown can be avoided if citizens follow Covid-19 protocol. The government will take the decision within a couple of days. Uddhav Thackrey will take his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine made by Bharat Biotech along with his wife Rashmi and her mother. He also asked citizens to keep a safe distance, wear a mask and avoid unnecessary travel, and not to get paniced or confused about the Covid-19 vaccine.
