Mithali Raj's Extraordinary Achievement : Creates History By Scoring 10,000
On Friday 12 March 2021, the captain of the Indian women’s team Mithali Raj became the first women cricketer from the country to score 10,000 in the 2nd of entire international runs.Mithali, who is 38 years old and leads the Indian ODI team, is playing the (212th) ODI for India. India is in the highest position in the ODI lineup. She scored highest in the 3rd match of the bilateral series against (South Africa) Anne Bosch before getting the next ball with a boundary off medium pacer.

Further, Sachin Tendulkar also took to the Twitter handle and tweeted, “Heartiest congratulations Mithali on completing 10,000 runs in International Cricket. Terrific achievement... Keep going strong!.”
"Getting to 10,000 runs first or second is a huge thing,". "She is the first Indian to do that, so I think it is something that shows how consistent she has been throughout her career. We have looked up to her, definitely a very proud feeling for all of us in the team," said Mandhana.

Franchises of (Indian Premier League) IPL also congratulated Indian’s ODI skipper. Rajasthan Royals posted a photo of Mithali and, wrote: “This is a Mithali Raj appreciation tweet.” Hence, other teams also congratulated Mithali on achieving such a milestone. Twitter was flooded with appreciation posts for Mithali Raj.
