INDIA TO FACE ENGLAND IN THE 1ST ODI IN PUNE

India is sandwiched between the two giants tournaments, the T20Is & IPL, in a T20 World Cup year, as the host and the opponent both lack significance.

Cushioned between a well-fought, five-match T20i series, it's the 14 edition of the IPL and it's a three-match One Day International tournament held in India and England needs to get up and over it. The format has not got any significance right now, cause all ICC tournament is only T20i, with the 50-over’s world cup, which will hold after two years.

The two best batsmen opening the innings Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, are the best part of today's game, Captain Virat Kohli said.

For the starting innings and to make a good score for the English men to chase, he finds both the batsmen capable of it.

The ground where both teams have to make it or break it is the MCA (Maharashtra Cricket Association) stadium, which is on the outskirt of Pune. People are more excited about the finals of the World Test Champion in June. After the English Tour followed by the T20 World Cup, which will be held in October and November, although the English minds are already running past the down under the sea to play the Ashes.

These One Days are a formality for both the supergiants to end these games at the earliest. And for the men’s World Cup Super League ranking, India is on the 10th spot cause of playing only three ODIs in which they won 1 and lost 2 in 2020, and by being the host, India will automatically qualify for the 2023 World Cup.

Playing in Pune is a belter of a pitch which is generally in hot conditions. To have a fast outfield in a ground which is already get rid of the spectators. In which this ground has only played 7 ODIs in the last seven and half years. Out of those four matches, India has won 2 of the batting, second in the innings. Where in the first, they chased a rocking 356 runs against England in the year 2017.

Although the night before the game, Pune had a passing of rain which made the condition a bit cooler. In the past, India has faced England five more times in which they have won only once. The last time India lost to them was in the 2019 ICC World Cup in their backyard.

In recent times both teams have got a 50% transition because of the new faces that have joined the squad. Eyes will be on the new bowler like Shardul Thakur, he has been bowling very well with his slow deliveries and Bhuvneshwar bowling to the top-order batsmen like Jason Roy. Jonny Bairstow, Jos Butler, and Chahal, who will be bowling at the middle order like Stokes and Morgan. Our top batsmen, taking on Mark Wood and Sam Curry. It will decide the faith of the Indian team's outcome.
