BREAKING NEWS: WHATSAPP MAY STOP WORKING ON SOME IOS DEVICES

The popular messaging app WhatsApp has reportedly dropped supporting the Apple iPhones running ios 9. “WhatsApp Messanger drops the support for iOS 9,” a report published by WABetaInfo and also said that iOS devices running on WhatsApp beta 2.21.50 won’t be able to use the App. The company is yet to update its FAQ page.



WhatsApp will run on iPhones iOS 10 and above. This means that iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s will be no longer able to use WhatsApp. 

In the Android case, WhatsApp works on the 4.0.3 or above Android version are allowed to run the app.

WhatsApp can be used on, JioPhone, JioPhone 2 that are running on KaiOS 2.5.1.

To take a backup of their data offline, iPhone iOS 9 users got suggested. Users can export data on their iCloud or Google Drive.

WeBetaInfo reported that WhatsApp is going to come up with an improved version of archived chats. It is under development and will be released soon. ‘WhatsApp is preparing user interface improvements for the archived chat cell, which will only be visible if you have chats in your archive.” sources indicates. 


In this new update, all archived discussions will not be automatically unarchived. Users will not get to know if they have received a message because all the notifications from archived chats will also be muted, sources said it’s an optional feature. Currently, at the end of all the chats, users will find the archived chats. It’s reported that WhatsApp has been working on features like multi-support, which will help users to easily shift between devices and also use multiple devices at once. These features also allow that, without losing their data users can easily shift between using iOS and Android devices.
