PM Modi Conducted A Meeting On The Covid-19 Situation Today
On Monday morning, the nationwide tally stands up to 15,061,919. In a single day, 273,810 people tested positive for Covid-19. The death toll stands up to 178,769 and 1,619 deaths in a single day.
On Monday, PM Modi will hold a meeting to review the Covid-19 situation in India. On Monday, India’s Covid-19 tally reached up to 15 million marks.
Chief Ministers of states like Delhi, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand have said that they are facing a shortage of essentials. Which also includes oxygen supply and medicines. They have written to the Centre for seeking intervention and adequate supply, over the past few days.
After request made by states, the Indian railway has announced a special train named “oxygen express" which will transport liquid medical oxygen and oxygen cylinders to Maharashtra and other destinations. The guidelines were formulated on Saturday to allow the transportation of liquid medical oxygen in cryogenic tankers after the request made by the Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh government to overcome the shortage of gas used by Covid-19 patients in both states.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand managed to import 50000 vials of Remdesivir, an important drug for Covid-19 from a Bangladeshi pharmaceutical company.
