At The Indian Premier League, The Covid Count Is Rising Day By Day


Now, it has also started at the RCB camp. Another foreign player Daniel Sams is tested Covid-19 Positive before the start of the IPL 2021.





After Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Player Daniel Sams joined the list taking the total number of cases to 4, who has been tested positive for Covid-19, which has been a real setback to the Indian Premier League 2021.


Earlier, players from different teams like- Axar Patel of the Delhi Capitals, Devdutt Padikkal Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Nitish Rana from Kolkata Knight Riders, too were tested positive. However, RCB’s Padikkal has joined back the camp after being tested negative.


On April 3rd, the Australian all-rounder Sams entered with a Covid-19 negative report in Chennai, but later during the mandatory testing during the seven days quarantine period, Sams was tested once again to find out he has been tested positive for Covid-19.  


Apart from those 4 players, ground staff, and other workers at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, even one of India’s great players cum talent scout Kiran More to has been tested Positive.


Although the Country is balancing on the worst wave of the Pandemic, yet the IPL is trying its level best to direct its tournament through 6 Venues at a time.


According to the Bangalore Based Franchise’s statement: “Daniel Sams came into the hotel with a negative report on April 3rd and later on April 7th after the second test he was tested positive, at the moment Sams is in an isolated designated medical facility taking precaution all though he doesn’t have the symptoms at the present moment."


“The Medical team of the Royal Challenger’s Bangalore is in constant touch with Sams and continues to monitor his situation and abide by the BCCI protocol.”


After being Traded by Delhi Capitals, the 28-year-old Australian joined RCB this IPL 2021. He last played on March 31st which was real competitive cricket, where he played in the Marsh Cup for New South Wales. Manager Bill Anderson was heard saying in the Age,"Although he is feeling great and doing his best, with him being a bit lonely."


In a Video Message, Padikkal was caught saying on the franchise’s social media by saying “I feeling really great at the present moment and cant wait to get back to our RCB Camp.”
