The two most bitter rivals in the history of the Telecom Industry- Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have signed a classified agreement, this deal marks the first-ever deal between the 2 companies.

It was said that Airtel is selling part of its spectrum to Reliance Jio in some areas, Airtel has signed an ultimate trading deal to sell 800 MHz spectrum to Reliance Jio Infocomm.


The Amount Of Money Will Airtel Get From The Deal?


Airtel will be receiving a huge and considerable amount of Rs 1037.6 Crores from Jio for the proposed transfer. Besides, Jio will also assume future liabilities of Rs 459 Crores, related directly to the spectrum. Which was said by Airtel In a statement.


What Are The Telecom Parts That The Airtel-Jio Deal Covers? 


The Telecom circles deal is to sell 800 MHz spectrum to Reliance Jio Infocomm, which are in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai circles, Airtel will sell 3.75 MHz of Brandwidth in Andhra Pradesh, 1.25 MHz in Delhi, and 2.50 MHz in Mumbai, with subject to regulatory and statutory approvals.


What Makes This Deal Significant?


The most important part of this deal is that it reflects the willingness of two of the biggest Telecom companies in India is going to work together despite being head to head for many years, they have been locked in a bitter war ever since Reliance entered the telecom industry in 2016.


What does The Deal mean For Reliance Jio Customers?


This particular deal will surely help improve the quality of the network for Jio users in these cities, which was said in a statement by Jio, that the enhanced spectrum footprint, especially of continuously needing the quality for the 4G services and better infrastructure which needs to increase its network capacity.
