What Led Amazon To Change It's App Icon?

Amazon, the e-commerce giant, had disclosed a new app logo in January, replacing the old logo, the shopping cart with Amazon written on it with a brown cardboard box, that resembles a packaging box with a blue-colored strip of tape above its signature arrow symbol. After more than five years this was Amazon’s first change on its app logo.

After the new logo was disclosed, users from various social media platforms started criticizing that the blue-colored strip tape reminds them of Hitler’s infamous toothbrush-style mustache.

As we all know that the toothbrush-style mustache got popular by Charlie Chaplin and many more comedians in the time of early 1900's. But then it was totally linked with Adolf Hitler during World War II.

After all the unfavorable comparisons and negative feedback from the customers on the design, Amazon modified their logo again.

Amazon updated their newly modified logo after the criticism, replacing the mustache-style for a two-toned folded piece of tape that looks like someone is tearing the tape.

“We designed the new icon to spark anticipation, excitement, and joy when customers start their shopping journey on their phone, just as they do when they see our boxes on their doorstep,” an Amazon spokesperson said.

  1. PREVIOUSLY THE AMAZON LOGO WAS JUST A STRAIGHT LINE ONLY WHEN AMAZON FIRST STARTED AND BEEN PUBLISHED IN THE MARKET, BUT NOW THE LOGO HAS COME WITH A HUGE CHANGE IN IT THAT STARTS FROM A AND GOES TILL Z WHICH STATES THAT PEOPLE CAN FIND A TO Z PRODUCTS ON E COMMERCE SITE CALLED AMAZON. KEEP GROWING THE SAME WAY IN THE MARKET.
