IPL TO BE HOSTED IN NARENDRA MODI STADIUM

Governing Council declared the entire schedule for IPL on Sunday that will be hosted in India. After nearly two years, the cities that are set to show  VIVO (IPL) 2021 are Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi.

Playoffs and finals of IPL 2021 will be played in the world's largest stadium-Narendra Modi Stadium on 30th May. On April 9th, the match between  Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be held. 


Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru will host ten matches each out of the fifty-six league matches, while Delhi and Ahmedabad will host eight-match each. 

Six teams will play three-afternoon matches and, two teams will play two-afternoon matches in a total of eleven double-headers. We hope that the evening match will start at 7:30 PM, and the afternoon match will start at 3:30 PM. Out of six venues, all teams will play at four venues on the league stage. No team will play at their home venue, all matches will be played in different venues.

    

After hosting the tournament successfully and safely in UAE last year with all safety protocols. BCCI is confident of Hosting the (IPL) at home with the safety and health of players.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will be played behind closed doors, to begin with, and a call on allowing sports fans will be taken at a later stage of the tournament. The schedule of the tournament has been fixed in such a way that every team needs to travel only three times during the league stage, thus reducing commute and minimizing risk.

India's second pink ball was also hosted in this magnificent stadium last month, now it will host its first-ever IPL.
