CHECK NETFLIX'S NEW PLAN: A TREAT FOR USERS

The streaming giant Netflix is testing a new mobile plus plan at Rs 299 per month. It will allow users to watch movies and shows on a phone, a tablet, and a laptop. And will let users stream in HD. Currently, the plan is being in the testing phase.

“We launched the mobile plan in India to make it easier for anyone with a smartphone to enjoy Netflix. We want to see if members like the added choice Mobile+ brings. We’ll only roll it out long-term if they do,” a Netflix spokesperson said.

Back in 2019, Netflix had launched the Rs 199 plan. It’s the most affordable plan in India, users can stream shows in SD (Standard Definition) quality. The plan gives access to watch shows only on one mobile screen at a time.

For Netflix, the mobile plus plan is a step up from the Rs 199 plan. Users in India stream more than streaming platform members worldwide on Netflix. And this is also one of the main reasons behind the new plan.

On Netflix, users had the Rs 649 plan option, after the Rs 199 plan. In this plan, the user can access up to four screens i.e. phone, computer, tablet, and TV.

Now, with the new Mobile Plus plan of Rs 299, users can watch shows with HD quality and also watch on a computer or a tablet in HD quality.

Earlier, also Netflix had launched a lot of plans. Netflix had launched a separate Mobile Plus plan temporarily, priced at Rs 349 and it’s also an upgraded version of the Rs 199 plan. But in this plan users didn’t get access to watch the shows in HD. With the mobile plan, users can only watch one screen at a time.

Netflix will test another plan of Rs 499 and, in this plan, users can stream shows but in SD (Standard Definition) on any phone, computer, tablet, and TV. Basically, this basic plan is designed for those users who want to watch shows on different devices and who don’t care much about the quality.

Netflix's other existing plans are called the Standard and Premium plans at Rs 649 and Rs 799. It let users watch shows on their phone, computer, tablet, and TV. At Rs 649 plan users, can watch shows on two different devices at the same time and, at Rs 799 plan, users can watch on four different-devices at the same time.
