1ST ODI: KRUNAL AND PRASIDH SHINE IN INDIA'S WIN AGAINST ENGLAND

India’s newcomers Krunal, Krishna, was the stars in the 1st ODI makes India win by 66 Runs. In time the scoreboard will never show the entire story of the game. In Pune, India won the 1st ODIs of three against England by a comfortable 66 runs to take the lead in the series 1-0. And waits for the other two more games to end the long tour of England.

In the first 10 overs, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma negotiated in moving the ball. Captain Kohli made his half-century so brilliantly. In the first 10 overs, the bowler got trashed around the ground. By Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy.

Above all, it was a reward for the fresh two debutants of the Indian team, Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna. India lost the toss once again to give England the chance to field first and to bat second to chase that brilliant score under the lights. Not forgetting India’s massive 356 Runs chase against England in 2017, must have been playing on the minds of the English men.

Shikhar Dhawan’s 98 runs, Virat Kohli’s 56 runs, KL Rahul’s unbeaten 62 runs of 43 balls, and debutant Krunal’s unbeaten 58 runs of 31 balls helped India make a brilliant score of 317 runs for 5 wickets in the 50 overs game, where England failed to make it and lose by 66 runs in the end.

England brilliantly started their innings and was chasing a big total but not barring openers like Jason Roy’s 46 runs of 35 balls and Jonny Bairstow’s brilliant 94 runs of 66 balls got going against the very impressive bowlers like Prasidh and Shardul.

Our pacer Prasidh Krishna’s debuted too along with K Pandya, where the 25-year-old from Karnataka came up with a brilliant 4 wickets for 54 runs in his 8.1 overs. The best figures by an Indian bowler on his debut. Eoin Morgan and Moeen Ali were the only two batsmen for England to score 20 odd runs as the English men’s batting went from bad to worse in 22 overs of the game.

Both great batsmen like Dhawan and Bairstow fell short of what was to be a deserving century. As Dhawan held one side for the Indian squad, Bairstow did his part for the English side in the beginning aggressively. However, Krunal’s and Rahul’s 112 run partnership made up a score, where Krunal’s 26 balls half-century made explosive strokeplay towards the end of the innings. Bhuvneswar’s mighty impressive way of moving the ball expertly.
