After A Long Break Indian Women's Cricket Team Is Back On Fields 

On the Date 7th March (2021), the Indian women’s cricket team will be playing an international match after an entire 364 days.


The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has finally decided that the Indian women’s cricket team will get back on the field just a day short of a whole year, since the final women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

After the COVID-19 lockdown, International women’s cricket will restart, and the Indian women’s cricket team is getting on the ground for nearly after 6 months. Zimbabwe, West Indies, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, England- all teams have played matches after Covid-19 except the Indian team. The (Board of Control for Cricket in India) BCCI has waited to make almost a year before the team got their act together.

Six months back (BCCI) restarted men’s cricket with the IPL, it’s not that (Board of Control for Cricket in India) BCCI could not control a tournament. 

A match covers eight teams of around 20 players each, IPL went on around 2 months in UAE, but (BCCI) couldn’t send the women’s team to England, even when the (ECB) offered to take care of all logistical concerns.
