The two worst affected districts in Chhattisgarh are Raipur and Durg. Harsh Vardhan (Health Minister) had a meeting with officials of Chhattisgarh and other states where the COVID-19 topic has been done. 


On Wednesday, the authorities in Raipur (capital of Chhattisgarh) announced that all the district has been mentioned as a containment zone for the rising cases of COVID-19. From April 9th at 6 pm, the fast and hard system will be applicable in the zones of containment, and on April 19th till 6 am, remain in the place. 


S Bharathi Dasan (collector of the district Raipur) was quoted (saying by news agency ANI): "Keeping in mind the Covid-19 situation, Raipur district is being declared a containment zone from 6 pm on 9th April till 6 am on 19th April. All the borders of the district will remain sealed during this period." 


On Tuesday, the number of fresh cases of the detection is 9,921, in a single day, Chhattisgarh saw the highest spike from the last year's March infection, 3,68,269 cases are found when the state’s caseload is taken. 


The new COVID cases in the two worst-hit districts are in Durg 1,838 new cases and in Raipur 2,821 new cases are found. In Raipur, the cumulative count for the infection reach 76,427 and 1,001 deaths, Durg’s cases was also increased with the numbers of cases 45,891 and 812 deaths.


The death toll in Chhattisgarh from the COVID-19 is 4,416 more than 53 people succumbed to the disease on Tuesday.


Shivraj Singh Chouhan (The chief minister of neighboring Madhya Pradesh) said on Wednesday that the state government is holding over the bus till April 15 operations with Chhattisgarh. The Madhya Pradesh transport department had an issued for this order. 


Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Sunday the government of Madhya Pradesh have to control the people from Chhattisgarh for the COVID-19 spread.


In Chhattisgarh, the high caseload and other 10 states have a rising number of cases Harsh Vardhan to had a meeting of these states. After a comprehensive and detailed review of the measures taken from these states, Harsh Vardhan concluded that they contribute together for the total cases is 54% and the total deaths in-country is 65%.
