In India, the COVID-19 cases are rising much more than last year. Two state's records got already high. It also shows that the second wave of COVID-19 is worse than the first wave in the face of vaccination drive.

 

The result of the second wave is around the (25 lakh) till March 23. The COVID-19 cases came across the country based on trends in the data. In the second half of April, it says that India may reach the peak.

The daily cases in India will currently see a spike with 53,476. On Wednesday, across the country, the new cases were reported. In Maharashtra, total cases rise to 31,855, and in Punjab 2,613 cases.

 

India has also provided vaccine doses of over 5.3 crores.

New cases were mainly rising in the cities and rural districts. 

 

The cases are largely localized and concentrated in Maharashtra and Punjab, says the report. It maintains that localized restrictions or lockdown will not help the situation, because the cases were continuously rising. For this, mass vaccination is the only hope.

 

The report says the COVID-19 vaccination will open up for the age group of 45 years from 1st April, the government has decided, irrespective of co-morbidities, suggests by the report that it is for immunization and the daily inoculations more people come forward to increase 40 to 45 lakhs for the current maximum level 34 lakhs, with this range we can vaccinate the amount the people who are above 45 years from now in four months.

 

It also suggests that in the states with a higher population of elderly of “60 years” including West Bengal, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab, these states have vaccinated less amount of the population to their elderly, they have to increase their pace of vaccination.

 

People who are above the age of 60, will get their vaccine by Wednesday. 

The doses are given around the people 51.31 lakh who are between the age of “45 to 60” years with specified co-morbidities.
